Green Matcha Smoothie Bowl





  • 1/2 tsp Chia seeds (ground or soaked in water for 10 minutes)
  • 1 tsp Green Tea Matcha powder
  • 1 tsp Cacao Nibs
  • 1/2 peeled & diced Avocado
  • Handful of spinach
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2/3 cup dairy alternative milk (Soy, almond, etc.)


  • Simply blend the above ingredients together and pour into a bowl. Top with your favorite toppings ( I chose cacao nibs, banana slices, and shredded coconut) and eat up! This smoothie bowl is vegan and so good for you.

    Vegan Numi Organic Chocolate Puer'h Tea Cookies



    • 2 tea bags Chocolate Pu'erh Numi Tea (3 for stronger flavor)
    • 1/3 cup boiling water 
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 2 tsp baking powder
    • ½ tsp salt
    • 1 cup sugar
    • ½ cup canola oil
    • ¼ cup Earth Balance spread
    • ½ tsp vanilla extract
    • 1/3 cup chocolate chips

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees and then line your baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Steep 1 tea bag in 1/3 cup of boiling water for 10 minutes. Squeeze and remove.
    In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and contents of either one or two tea bags (depending on how strong you want the chocolate flavor to come through).

    In a large separate bowl, mix sugar, non-dairy spread, and oil. Add vanilla extract and tea. Add dry ingredients to wet and mix together until dough is slightly sticky and moist. If dough is too crumbly, add in more tea. Mix in your chocolate chips and use a spoon to place dough balls 1 inch apart on the baking sheet.

    Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cookies are golden brown. They will look slightly underdone, but when you take them off the baking sheet, the underside should be a beautiful light brown. That's when you know they're done!

    Grapefruit Mint Refresher


    • 1 Large Grapefruit
    • 3 mint leaves (more or less depending on preference)
    • Juicer or other utensils to juice grapefruit
    • Wooden spoon
    • 1/3 cup sugar or 2-3 tbsp of honey/agave nectar
    • 1 cup ice
    • 3 cups water
    First, juice your grapefruit. You may filter out the pulp if desired--I did! Pour juice into a glass (I used 32 oz mason jar).

    Fill to the top with ice and water. Now mix in and dissolve the sugar or alternative sweetener with your wooden spoon. Top with mint leaves and sit back and enjoy the refreshment!
